Sports Day
Sport participation and being active is very important to us. We take part in and organise many sporting enrichment activities over the course of the year including:
Inter schools sports
Year 5/6 County Hockey Tournament; Andover Schools Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 Tag Rugby Festivals; Year 3/4 Football Festival; Year 5/6 Football Tournament; Swimming lessons for Year 3/4 at Farleigh School; Whole School Sports Day; KS1 Gymnastics Festival; Year 5/6 Kwik Cricket Tournament; Year 5/6 High Fives Tournament; Y5/6 Indoor Athletics Festival; KS2 Athletics Festival
Amport Sports
House High Fives Competition; House Tag Rugby Competition; House Rounders Competition; House Football Competition; KS1 Mulit Skills Tournament.
Walk to school week
We take part in Walk to School Week each year and try to encourage as many children as possible to walk part of the way to school in a bid to reduce traffic congestion and become fitter along the way!
Annual Whole School Hike
We also hold an Annual Whole School Hike where every child undertakes a five to six mile round trip walk around Amport and the surrounding villages. Many parents join us as we take time to explore and appreciate the beauty of the local area making it a lovely day. We are out all day, stop for a picnic lunch and take part in a quiz along the way. It is quite the highlight of the year!
