What is Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium is an allocation of funding provided to schools to support specific groups of pupils who could potentially underachieve. These include pupils who are or have been entitled to free school meals over the last six years, those who are or have been looked after by the local authority and children who have a parent in the armed forces. All schools are required to report the amount of money received and how it will be spent to support pupils. Once the funding has been spent schools should report on the impact it has had. At Amport CE (Aided) Primary School our ambition is to ensure that appropriate provision is made for pupils who belong to vulnerable groups and that the needs of disadvantaged pupils are adequately assessed and addressed.
