200 Year Anniversary Celebrations
It is quite astonishing to think that Amport School has been here to teach the children of the parish for 200 years! The children have been finding out about this amazing history, how the school first opened its doors in 1815 and was endowed as a Church of England school in 1816. We were honoured to celebrate with a very special church service led by the children and attended by many dignitaries including the Bishop of Basingstoke, the Deputy Mayor, councillors, representatives of past clergy, the diocese, past Headteachers, past pupils and so much more! And the sun shone too! Fabulous! We have all now created our moment in history.
